New baby girl

Hello lovely people,

It's time for a new challenge at In The Pink and our theme this month is...

LUSCIOUS LACE

Although I love lace I don't actually use it all that often on my cards but it is the perfect addition to a new baby card, as are pretty flowers, swirls and a light sprinkling of Frantage.
Much as I love colouring, I also really love these big sentiment stamps from LOTV :-)

It's been a while since I did any arty shots of my cards but thought it might be nice to show the gorgeous flowers a little closer.  I have really become a big fan of these and the roses are my favourites :-)

I have also started adding charms to a few more of my cards and don't you think these teeny baby feet are adorable?!

I also added a simple little tag underneath the sentiment panel.  The letters were stamped and cut out individually; I didn't worry about them being perfect squares as I think it just adds to the shabby chic look!

Card recipe;
DP: Coffee in the arbour - Maja Designs (available from Live and Love Crafts)
Dies: leaf and swirl - Magnolia Doohickey, mini heart collection - Memory box
Charm: feet charm - The Ribbon Girl
Frantage: Stampendous shabby white frantage from Live and Love Crafts

If you haven't already done so then do pop over to In The Pink and check out the gorgeous creations from the rest of the Pink Ladies and from our guest designer :-)

Thanks for visiting and I really appreciate any comments that you leave,

Krafty Chevrons

Hello lovely people,

It's time for a new challenge at Top Tip Tuesday and our theme this time is...

CHEVRONS

We are sponsored by Sweet Stamp Store with a prize of a $10 gift certificate.

So, chevrons... I like chevrons... but after an extensive search of my craft room I came up with precisely zero chevrons :-(
Then I remembered some Christmas paper I had with chevrons - woot!

Every year I say I will make one or two really simple batches of designs to send to most people on my Christmas card list and just a few fancy ones for family.  So far, I have failed every year.

This may be the year I manage it as here is a super simple design with absolutely no stitching or colouring because those are the things that take me ages!

I was dying to play with my new Christmas stamp sets from LOTV; isn't this the most elegant tree?

Card recipe;
DP: scrap from stash
I hope you will pop over to Top Tip Tuesday and check out the fabulous creations and of course, the top tips from the rest of the team.

Thanks for visiting and I really appreciate any comments that you leave,

Cute nurse

Hello lovely people,

The good news = my mojo is still in the building...

The also good news = I have been getting a teensy bit ahead with DT cards...

The bad news = I can't share them with you because they are DT cards - doh!

However, I realised I hadn't shared this card I made for a lovely lady in work so here it is;

Yep, she's a nurse and work colleagues requested a nurse image for her card... this was so cute I couldn't resist.  It was my first CC Designs digi and will sadly be my last since they have stopped selling their images as digis :-(  I guess I'll just have to start buying them in rubber then?!

Raise your glass

Hello lovely people,

It's time for a new challenge at In The Pink and our theme this month is...

SPOTS OR STRIPES

I'm usually all about the spots and this card is no exception... I even chose an image with spots on too, on the left hand dress!

Whilst on a little shopping spree at The Ribbon Girl recently I popped a few charms into my basket and I also got one little sparkly star buckle slide.  You can see I have wasted no time in using it... so obviously I am going to need quite a few more as I absolutely adore it!

The image is yet another Stamping Bella image that I treated myself to a few months ago and features 2 of my favourite things... wine and cake!

Star

Hello lovely people,

Ooops, that's another couple of weeks gone by without any blogging from me.  I seem to be in a bit of a 'not very inspired' period, which is not good when I have DT cards and lots of commissions to do :-(

I have managed to do my DT card though for the new challenge at Top Tip Tuesday and our theme this time is...

FAVOURITE COLOUR COMBO

We are sponsored by Kenny K with a prize of 3 digital images for the winner.

I'm sure everyone knows my favourite colour is pink but I don't really have a favourite colour to team it with, it really depends on what works with the image.  So, for this one it's pink and black as it needed something a bit funky!

The image is, of course, a Kenny K one and I am not sure about some of my colour choices... I know I am being pretty picky but I really shouldn't have done the guitar and her outfit the same colour!

Card recipe;
DP: various scraps
Twine / star charm: The Ribbon Girl
Dies: Impression Obsession for the stars
Sentiment: Sentiment sampler - Paper Smooches

Copic colours;
to be added later

I hope you will pop over to Top Tip Tuesday and check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the team and a tutorial on how to make an awesome block card :-)

Just the one...

Hello lovely people,

So here's my second post of the day (scroll down for my In The Pink DT card!) and this one is for our new challenge at Crafty Little Fairies with the them this month of...

ONLY ONE DP

*gasp*  Just the one?  Ok, this was actually easier than I thought it would be and I really like how this design turned out.
I did the sentiment on the computer and it took aaaaages to find the right combo of fonts and get it all aligned how I wanted but I do think it goes well with the CAS styling.
The photo is looking a little more 'vintage' coloured than IRL; methinks I must have taken this in poor light!

Now this close up of sweet Tilda looks a bit brighter!  I added little dots of pearl pen among the flowers.

Card recipe;

DP: Coffee in the arbour - Maja Design (available from Live and Love Crafts)

Copic colours;
somewhere on my desk... to be added when I find them!

If you pop over to Crafty Little Fairies you can check out the fabulous creations from my teamies and we have a wonderful selection of prizes up for grabs so I hope you will join in with us for a chance to win :-)

Bye bye summer

Hello lovely people,

It's double trouble from me today with 2 blog posts and the first one for you is for our new challenge at In The Pink where we have the theme...

FANCY FOLD

There are lots of lovely fancy fold designs out there and I always think they make for a really special looking card.  My favourite at the moment is the criss cross card so here is my creation...

I am having to limit the number of Magnolia stamps I buy as they are so lovely I could easily have them all, so I just picked my one absolute favourite from the last release which was the Pink Lemonade collection.  And this is it!
I think I am clinging on to the last bit of sunshine and warmth with this card! Yes, I know it's really autumn now but shhh, no-one has told the weather yet :-)

I made a large pull out tag to go inside but have decided to leave it blank for now until I decide how it should be finished depending on what I do with the card!

Card recipe;
Image: Pink Lemonade Tilda - Magnolia (available from Bunny Zoe's Crafts)
DP: Coffee in the arbour - Maja Design (available from Live and Love Crafts)
Ric rac: from stash
Tag: Sentiment tags - LOTV
Dies: Circle stax - Dienamics, Tilda lace - Magnolia Doohickey

Copic colours;

Foam / bubbles: YR30/Y21/Y35

If you haven't already done so then do pop over to In The Pink and check out the gorgeous creations from the rest of the Pink Ladies; there are lots of different fancy folds to inspire you.
